A little chronicle

With nothing - really nothing - we startet in 1973.

Only the love for boxers was the driving force to enable a concentration of the boxer owners. The main initiator at that time was Reimer Glüsing, who, all the time, has accompanied the group with personal commitment, advice and action. Because a group of the Boxer Klub existed already in Cuxhaven, and the Boxer Klub Munich e.V. as umbrella organization did not tolerate two groups within one place, the new group emerged on 06.09.1973 under the name "Gruppe Nordholz". Since then, the group belongs to the Weser-Ems regional group of the Boxer Klub and is a member of the VDH (Association for the German Dog Society).
A first training ground was adapted in HOLTE - SPANGEN in 1973. The planning for the construction of a clubhouse had to be discontinued due to difficulties with residents and hunting tenants. Ultimately, we were forced to look for a new training ground. After a long and difficult search the group found a new and final home at today's place at the Möhlendiek in OXSTEDT
in 1975.
The landlord of the association's land provides each year his arable land of the group as a track ground generously, and has thus made possible the great success of the club members in the tracking work. For example, the group has been successfully represented in the boxers' club German Championships for tracking dogs since 1991 in uninterrupted order with at least one, often even two or three Boxers.
In 2002 the Nordholzer boxer Conga von Berganza became world champion of tracking dogs in the ATIBOX (Worldassosiation of all Boxerclubs) with the team of the Boxer Klub Munich e. V..
One of the "hallmarks" of the group is the yearly "NORDSEECUP" to which the group invites up to 40 starters with their tracking boxers from Germany and abroad. It is thus the largest event of its kind in Germany.
The group now has about 50 members. It offers the whole range of dog training and helps with advice and deed in the purchase and the rearing of the boxers.
In addition, volunteer trainers offer their support to the owners of other breeds and mongrels.
